If the Toshiba Video Player plays a major role in your daily life, then I recommend downgrading Windows 10. You can do this using Start > Settings > Backup and Security > Windows Update > Get Back. This option will rollback the updates, thus restoring the functionality of the video player.
You can then wait until a new update is released for Toshiba Video Player that is compatible with Windows 10 or use another video player to play your DVDs. For example, VLC Media Player handles DVDs very well and supports loading all kind of formats.
I was using the Toshiba Video Player and it stopped working. Is there a fix?

Most likely the application got corrupted. One of the files or registry entries is corrupted and because of that you encounter errors. My advice is to try to re-install it only that, do it the other way around. Download the package from its official website and uninstall the current version from your computer. Don't install it from your Support CD or computer as it might be bugged or corrupted.
Can you play an SWF (Adobe Flash file format) file in the Toshiba video player?
No, the Toshiba Video Player does not support playing SWF files.
